Who we are

The All-Party Parliamentary Group on Patient Safety is supported by the Association of British Healthcare Industries and Baxter Healthcare. Luther Pendragon manages the secretariat for the APPG.

As a practising GP and an MP closely involved with parliamentary healthcare issues, Howard Stoate is an ideal chair for the APPG on Patient Safety.

Howard has been a Labour MP for Dartford since 1997. He is a member of the House of Commons Health Select Committee and is Parliamentary Private Secretary to Minister Estelle Morris.

Howard has wide experience chairing and co-chairing other all-party groups. He is an active and enthusiastic chair for the All-Party Pharmacy Group, the All-Party Primary Care Group and the All-Party Group on Men’s Healthcare.
